After the ground breaking of Banyu Urip Project in Bojonegoro, which designates the starting of Banyu Urip Project whole development, Minister of EMR, Jero Wacik asked the whole engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) to be able to finish by the end of 2013 from its finishing target for 36 months, so the whole production of Cepu Block could be realized, Tuesday (6/12/2011).
“I see that its production schedule will finish by July – August 2014, I ask and let’s work together, EPC 1 to 5 if it is possible could be faster then people’s prosperity could be faster,” says Minister of EMR. Migas Cepu Block production has strategic value, not only for East Java and Central Java Province, but also nationally. It relates to the target-lifting fulfillment for 1 million barrel per day, which has been set between Commission VII DPR RI and the Government. “The target lifting of 1 million barrel per day will be achieved if Cepu Block has produced normally for 165.000 barrel per day and it will happen by 2014. I have asked to fasten it by the end of 2013,” he says. The minister added that the projects could be finished fast, if cooperation among all related sides including DPR, Minister of EMR, East Java Governor, Central Java, Bojonegoro Regent and Blora Regent work well. “Let’s make it fastened, do not make it slow; road business, train business, and license business,” adds the minister. Next, minister stated that he will pay attention Cepu and Bojonegoro citizens more specifically. Prepare your self to welcome a better future, prepare your sons and daughters to be the foremost of the project. Similar to Minister of EMR, The Head of BP Migas hoped that the project could be managed through a better communication and all sides could protect and develop the project to make it useful for all. “I also remind MCL as the operator of the area, in order to make all project activities perform administratively well based on applicable regulation in Indonesia. I asked them to give more special attention to the problems, so the finishing of the project does not left any problem in the end,” says R. Priyono. (AK)
