Jakarta - PT Pertamina (Persero) plans to pursue Marine fuel sales targets or to the shipping sector as much as 300 thousand kl (KL) in the year. The plan, in the next five years, local oil and gas company plans to sell up to 1 million KL Marine fuel.

"This is a step in the pursuit of Pertamina's fuel sales target for the marine industry. As for Marine fuel sales this year reached 300 thousand KL, "explained Aaron.

Aaron went on, some time ago with PT Pertamina IPCs to provide service and provision of non-subsidized fuel for ships in the Port of Tanjung Priok, especially for ocean going vessels.

"The cooperation will be conducted at other ports in Indonesia. Expected sales of bunker fuel for the needs of ocean going ships at Tanjung Priok via IPCs can increase sales volume of non-subsidized fuel, Pertamina," he added.

The company hopes that by working together with PT Pertamina Pelindo then can create new markets as the main target market is a ocean going ships that have been done charging fuel abroad. So, he says, along with the growth of Tanjung Priok number ocean going ships that set sail directly to various countries in Europe and Africa will increase.

"Pertamina is also implementing strategies to improve sales of marine fuel abroad. Pertamina make sales in Singapore conducted since early 2011 with kionsumen served the cruise ship company Classic International Cruises Australia," continued Aaron.

Then, Pertamina also launched the E-Serve system since last year where it can monitor payments and historical Marine fuel purchases within a certain period.
