JAKARTA. To overcome the gas deficit, the government built and Regassification Floating Storage Unit (FSRU) in West Java, North Sumatra and Central Java or East Java. To be able to run according to plan, the government conduct surveillance and monitoring its development closely.

Meetings with all relevant agencies, carried out regularly and chaired by the Director General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Oil and Gas, Evita H. Legowo. In a meeting at the Directorate General of Oil and Gas, on Monday (28 / 3), was also attended by Director of Oil and Gas Program Heri Purnomo, Director of Upstream Oil and Gas A. Edy Hermantoro, Director of Environmental Engineering and Oil and Gas Bambang Soemarsono, Bambang Banyudono representing PT PGN and Djohardi A. Kusumah representing PT Nusantara Regas.

Matters discussed in this meeting, regarding the reclamation plan for the North Coast of Jakarta. If the plan is still implemented, there will be a shift in the pipe FSRU West Java. It was agreed, should be repeated discussions with Jakarta Government.

As for the FSRU North Sumatra, PGN reported two problems which must be completed ie HoA binding HoA binding of LNG and gas to PT PLN. To be able to FID pertengaha June 2011, then this should be completed in early June 2011.

Supervision and monitoring of development FSRU is one of the priority programs of the Directorate General of Oil and Gas Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. West Java FSRU is targeted to be completed in September 2011. As for North Sumatra, the process was delayed due to a misunderstanding about the need for gas in the area. But once there is clarity of PT PLN on the need for gas, then the project was resumed again. Because of the delay, the completion of construction of FSRU back into 2012. Originally planned to be completed in late 2011.

3 Development of FSRU is a mandate of Presidential Instruction No. 01 in 2010 to overcome the deficit above 200 MMSCFD of gas. With the LNG terminal infrastructure is expected to supply gas to a place far from the source gas can be done in the form of LNG shipping.
