Page 1 of 2 Jakarta - Exports of palm oil as crude palm oil (CPO) and refined products increased again in August 2010 to 1.19 million tons. Months earlier, in August, CPO exports were only 1.13 million tons.
Saturday (28/08/2010), this increase was triggered by the additional demand from Bangladesh, the European Union and the United States against various products of CPO and its derivatives. "For Bangladesh, a country in South Asia, adding to import crude palm oil and refined products from Indonesia to 86 500 tonnes in July than June, which amounted to 58 779 tonnes," said Executive Director GAPKI Fadhil Hasan in these press releases. Similarly with the export of Indonesian crude palm oil and refined products to the European Union increased by 283 802 tonnes in July compared with June exports amounted to 231 987. In July, the export of Indonesian crude palm oil and refined products to India was reduced to 448 894 tons from June amounted to 476 030 tonnes.
