JAKARTA: State electricity company PT (Persero) target this year to build the eight locations of steam power plants (power plant) with a capacity of 1400 megawatts of new, related to 10 000 MW power project Phase I.

The 10 000 MW power project utuk Phase II, construction of new construction will commence IV/2010 quarter.

Yogo Pratomo, Chairman of the Executive Team Coordinating Team for Accelerated Development of Power Plant, explained that 1400 MW expected to be completed this year include Apex Unit 1 Power Plant for 315 MW, Indramayu power plant unit 1 (330 MW), and Suralaya (625 MW) .

Generators located outside of Java, among others fired Tanjung Balai Karimun 14 MW, 30 MW Power Plant Bangka, Amurang 25 MW Power Plant, Power Plant 20 MW Kendari, and 14 MW Power Plant Ende. Thus, at the end of the 2010 execution of 10 000 MW power project has been completed 2000 MW. In the past year, PLN has completed construction of 600 MW Labuan plant.

"Next year we plan to complete the 4,300 MW spread across five locations in Java and 12 locations outside Java.
