Shanghai - World Trade Organization (WTO) estimates that global trade to grow 10 percent this year, WTO chief Pascal Lamy said in Shanghai Friday, in relation to the trade body that issued its annual report.

"Our estimates for this year's world trade increased 10 percent in volume after minus 12 (percent) we noted in 2009," said Lamy told reporters.

Lamy makes estimates in response to reporters' questions as he released the 2010 World Trade Report on the sidelines of the Shanghai World Expo. The report focuses on natural resource competition.

Projections, up from 9.5 percent forecast issued by the WTO on March. World trade has rebounded after experiencing the biggest collapse since World War II in 2009 due to global economic crisis.
