Page 1 of 2 JAKARTA. Resilience and stability of energy supplies present and future is an important and strategic to increase competitiveness. Domestic gas needs will continue to increase, so should be regulated on the mechanism of demand and supply side.
"Currently, we basically understand as the contracted demand of gas demand and gas supply as the existing supply. The nature of the field so that the existing supply is always in balance with demand contracted. In other words, the contracted demand, especially for electricity and fertilizer and other industries already fulfilled all because of gas field development is only done after there is certainty of the contracted demand ", said Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Joint Meeting of Commission IV, VI and VII of the Parliament and Government, Wednesday ( 16 / 6). Still further the Minister, domestic gas needs were not fully met due to some constraints such as, the potential demand (additional demand growth projections derived from a particular industry) that will be filled by the projected supply (existing supply already produced plus the supply will soon be produced POD was based on the realization of the already approved). Under these conditions, the government has several approaches in an effort to meet the needs of gas, which is now a contracted demand with existing supply and demand approach to high school with the projected supply potential. In the long term, the Ministry of Energy and its related agencies will continue to strive to meet the gas requirements, particularly for domestic demand, continued Minister. "However we are persistent and seriously develop the supply, demand side if it is not in managing, if all the industry has its primary energy demand to energy that are cheaper, then we will always be trapped in a position to supply the losers (smaller supply of needs) ", added the Minister. Because it continued the Minister, the Government requires the council to support not only think about the supply but also start thinking about the demand side. (SF) www.tenderoffer.biz
