JAKARTA: PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk mentioned wanting supply liquefied natural gas (liquefied natural gas / LNG) Donggi-Senoro company that will be used as one source of supply for LNG terminal projects Medan.

One document mentions received the LNG business is one of the alternatives the company to gain access to large-scale gas. The company also has planned the construction of LNG terminal in Medan recipients.
 
According to PGN's estimates, there are several potential gas buyers in the region, ie PLN power plant in the sand Sicanang and Paya, and city gas that can be channeled to industrial customers (1507 customers), commercial (30,264 customers), and households (385,775 customers) .
 
The total estimated demand for the company identified the gas, called the document, reaching 150-300 MMSCFD.
 
For that, PGN has identified three alternative supplies of LNG that can be accessed firms, namely the Bontang LNG plant, the Tangguh LNG, and LNG-Senoro Donggi.
 
Floating Terminal
 
Based on the meetings informative document of 25 November 2009 stated that the LNG terminal receiver will be designed in a floating pipeline that will connect the offshore gas along the 15 km to the ground.
 
When confirmed, Commercial and Operations Director Michael Baskoro PGN denied the contents of the documents submitted by the team's LNG business field.

Previously, the company had already invited the government to become one of the domestic buyer of LNG-Senoro Donggi, with Pusri, PLN, and the Panca Amara Utama.
 
However, after 2 weeks time given the discussion of the government, PGN claimed withdraw as a potential buyer of LNG-Senoro Donggi.


Floating LNG terminal in Medan is planned in two stages, namely the front end engineering & design (FEED) and engineering feasibility studies, procurement, and construction (EPC), which includes the work of LNG terminal, jetty / pier / mooring facility, offshore pipeline, terrestrial receiver facilities, and land pipeline.

Prequalification project completed on target in May 2010 and FEED activities runs from June to September 2010. After completing the evaluation process in November 2010, EPC project will be held starting in December 2010 so that the receiver is expected to be commissioning in April 2012.

Meanwhile, Director General of Oil and Gas Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said Evita Herawati Legowo certainty Donggi-Senoro project for domestic consumers absorbed so far still constrained by funding issues.
