The company mining rights holder (KP) is still a chance to lodge an
application request to change the status of mining permit (IUP),
although the filing deadline previously established by the end of April
2010.
Directorate General of Mineral, Coal and Geothermal Bambang Setiawan, the Ministry of Energy revealed that applications submitted by holders of mining rights to be IUP has reached about 9000 until the end of April. "Now it is being processed for all applicants. If that has not been filed, we will look at it case by case," he said yesterday. According to him, not all applications submitted by holders of mining rights will automatically be changed to IUP. Directorate, he added, will do about the necessary administrative and compliance with applicable requirements. He pointed out that companies are still blocked overlapping issues, certainly could not obtain IUP. On the other hand, it still would consider the settlement period, for holders of mining rights who has not requested a change to IUP to late April. "Kan could delay filing the petition was no fault of the holders of mining rights. It could be a local authority not forget to tell them [the holder of mining rights] if the deadline is 30 April. So let's see what the reason was a case by case," said Bambang. Based on Government Regulation (PP) No. 23/2010 on the Implementation of Business Activities Mineral and Coal mentioned that the KP, the area of mining permits and mining permits must be adjusted to be a mining permit (IUP) or mining permit (IPR) at the latest 3 months from the PP applies. According to him, the process of transition into IUP will not take long if every company completing the application requirements, especially regarding the clarity of the map along with the coordinates of the mine area.
