JAKARTA. PT PLN (Persero), the middle of the project development process a 2000 MW coal fired power plant worth U.S. $ 3 billion in Central Java to anticipate the increasing electricity demand for the area the next few years. EIRR is the ratio used to measure the economic output obtained by the public for a project. EIRR greater the higher the level of benefits for the community project.

Electricity demand growth in Central Java will reach 6.5% this year, is expected in the coming year 2011 and thereafter will be increased by an average of 7-8% per annum in line with national economic growth tends to increase. Some existing plants in Central Java today, such as the Tanjung Jati, Apex, Cilacap and Pond Lorok not been able to fulfill demand in Java, the current electrical system.

Associated with the technology used, Murtaqi Samsuddin explained that plant to be constructed using clean coal combustion technology and environmental friendliness, ie ultra-Supercritical Supercritical boiler or boiler which proved to produce less carbon dioxide when compared with other plants that use different technologies.
