JAKARTA: The government will offer projects worth U.S. $ 7 billion through a pattern of government-private partnership (PPP) in Infrastructure Summit 2010 will be held on 14-17 April.
Head of Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) said Gita Wirjawan projects to be offered include toll roads, power plants, and other projects. The Government has prepared feasibility studies that are offered to private investors through government-private partnership schemes (public private partnership).
"The government will be launched projects worth U.S. $ 7 billion, or Rp70 trillion. The project is still small compared to the investment needs of infrastructure through public private partnership of Rp200 trillion per year," he said yesterday.

Indonesia previously held a similar meeting in 2005 that produced 22 toll road projects and a number of power projects. However, the way the construction of the highway project hampered because there are a variety of issues ranging from land acquisition and other regulations that are less supportive.
