Observers: Termination BLT contradictory

Padang - Dean of Faculty of Economics, University of Padang (UNP), Prof.Dr. Syamsul Amar, MS, states that government measures to stop Direct Cash Aid (BLT) in 2010, is a contradictory policy in the economy.
"There are two counter-productive policy of the government in 2010. First stop the BLT, and the second will raise the basic electricity tariff (TDL)," said Syamsul in Padang, Saturday.

According to him, the two government policies will affect the drop in demand (demand) community.

BLT, he says, is the government subsidies given to a particular community, in order to be able to meet the minimum requirements. Beneficiaries are the people that the low welfare level.

If BLT is removed, said Syamsul, poor people's welfare level will continue to decline. their demand is low. As a result, the state welfare state programs did not materialize ".

Asked about the statement of the Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Agung Laksono that the country's economy improves, Syamsul question, which overlays the economy improved.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Agung Laksono said that the Direct Cash Assistance Program (BLT) in 2010 suspended.
