The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index added 12.10 points (0.55 percent) to 2226.29 and the broad market index Standard & Poor `s 500 rose 4.63 points (0.42 percent) to 1099.50. Lasted volatile trade after Wall Street stocks ended Tuesday in an increase in one of their best day in three months amid optimism the new economy that encourages the Dow rose 1.68 percent.
