JAKARTA: PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) to buy steam from the geothermal power plant geothermal (PLTP) 2x55 MW Ulu Belu of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy worth U.S. $ 0.042 per kWh.

For the development of this PLTP, PLN will hold as the developer Sumitomo Corporation Japan and Industrial Engineering, including the construction of 150 KV transmission capacity and expansion of its parent bus shelter.
 
Based on the development plan, the construction of this PLTP for 32 months. Schedule COD or prime commercial operation is targeted at 1 unit in July 2012 and unit 2 in November 2012.
 
As for the other 11 PLTP, six of PLTP PLTP Ulu Belu 3 & 4, Moss Hall 1 & 2, Moss Hall 3 & 4, 5 & 6 Lahendong, Kamojang, and Geothermal Power Plant will be built by Karaha PGE IPP scheme. Five other plants that consists of Lahendong 4, Hululais 1 & 2, Kotamobagu 1 & 2, Kotamobagu 3 & 4, and the River Full 1 & 2 was built by PLN.
