Jakarta - House Speaker Marzuki Alie, when I speak at the hearing in the trial in the House of Representatives 2009-2010 Jakarta, Friday, asking the government to intervene immediately solve electricity crisis, both short, medium and long term.

Marzuki said, for the short term, the government must immediately deal with power outages.

"This is important given the disruption of the availability of electrical energy inhibits the production processes, including small industries," he said.

According to Marzuki, the House accommodates a variety of complaints after an interruption due to damage to power generation infrastructure which has resulted in shortages of supplies to a number of industrial centers.

He said businessmen worried about the investment activities will diminish due to the lack of electricity supply security.

While for the medium and long term, the government must provide sources of new electrical energy such as geothermal and renewable energy sources to supply gas for power generation in a safe position until the year 2015. (*) (ANTARA News)
