Jakarta - State Enterprise Ministry responded positively to the plan of PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk issuing new shares through a stock offering limited (right issue). "Although new indications (plan), we as the power of BNI encourages shareholders to realize," said State Minister for SOEs, Mustafa Abubakar, the Office of the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises, Jakarta, Friday. He explained, right issue one way to strengthen the company's capital in the framework of BNI credit expansion. "If the right issue to be opportunities in credit growth should be utilized and realized in 2010," he said. BNI, he added, should be able to use that momentum to be able to boost the real sector. Even so, strict Mustafa, he had not been informed of relevant BNI management plan. "The letter of request had not reached my desk," he said. BNI suggests going right issue for 10-15 percent of the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX).
