The electricity system of North Sumatra was not expected to experience

According to him, basically electricity capacity in the region of North Sumatra satisfied enough with the operation of Power Plant 2x115 MW Labuhan Angin. Besides the region of North Sumatra, he added that electricity supply in Lampung also be increased by about 200 MW by 2011 in line with the resolution of Tarahan 2x100 MW power plant. Based on data from the end of 2009 PLN, the electricity system in the Sumatra region is still experiencing a deficit of about 200 MW with the total needs of customers who reach 3400 MW. Meanwhile, the total maximum power that can be distributed to subscribers only 3200 MW, although the installed capacity reached 3770 MW. When referring to the total electricity needs of customers, electricity system on the island of Sumatra should have an installed capacity of 4000 MW, including power reserve of 35% in anticipation of the deficit when there is interference.
