Page 1 of 2 BEIJING, - A fire in a gold mine in eastern China at least 50 people trapped underground, while 200 people were rescued. Xinhua News Agency, Friday (8/6/2010), reported fire started in the evening at the mine near the city of Yantai in Shandong Province. Unclear whether there are casualties in the accident. China's mines are often hit by accident, mostly in coal mines that killed hundreds of people every year.
