JAKARTA. The island of Sumbawa, according to studies conducted by PT PLN (Persero), hydro energy saving potential of reaching 67.5 Mega Watt. PT PLN with private partners plan to develop this potential by building 11 projects Micro-Hydro Power (MHP) and the Water Power (hydropower).

Seeing the potential of hydro energy which owned the island of Sumbawa, President Director of PT PLN (Persero) states that the company will develop the potential of hydro energy in the future so that the Sumbawa Island will become the only island of the dominant use of hydro energy to generate electricity.

Connecting President Director of PLN, PLN's Corporate Communications Senior Manager, Bambang Dwiyanto said, to utilize the energy potential of hydro electricity plans with the private sector will build 11 projects MHP and a hydroelectric project. Eleventh-up project Bambang ie, MHP Banggo, MHEP H Sumpee, Hydroelectric Beh I, II MHP Beh, Beh Hydroelectric III, MHP Rea I, II Rea MHP, MHP Star Bano, MHP Rhee I, Rhee MHP II and MHP Belo.
 
Construction of eleven new renewable energy-based power plant that will gradually replace the diesel is now dominant in Sumbawa. "In the year 2014 on Sumbawa planned generating composition include: Power Plant 40%, hydroelectric and geothermal power plants MHP 50% and 10%. Electric peak load in Sumbawa reached 22.5 MW ", he added.
