JAKARTA: PT Tambang Coal Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) will boost coal production this year to 19.2 million tons, up 20% compared with last year's production reached 16 million tons.

In connection with the production plan this year, he revealed about 15.26 million tons of coal or 80% of the production plan this year already has a contract to sell, both domestic and export.
 
PTBA now has a buyer in the country, namely PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) and PT Indonesia Power, approximately 5.5 million tons, PLN's Tanjung Enim 1.2 million tons, Tarahan PLN 1 million tons, and 750,000 tons of cement Baturaja.

Meanwhile, for export purposes was state-owned mines have established contracts with a number of traditional buyers from Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Thailand and to develop exports to China, Pakistan and India. "Demand China, Pakistan and India are generally for the purposes of fuel for energy."
 
In the context of national production, Coal Mining Association of Indonesia (APBI) reported national coal production in 2010 is targeted to reach 275-280 million tons.
 
Production target is higher than the realization in 2009 that reached 254 million tons, which is 85% of which is contributed APBI.
