JAKARTA: State electricity company PT (Persero) will send a hydroelectric project Kerinci 2 x 90 MW hydropower plant is also called Merangin with shavings III project records submitted to the state-owned power plant.
PLN President Director Dahlan Iskan say it is one of the options that the company put up two large-scale hydroelectric project in Sumatra could soon walk.
According to him, both projects experienced similar fate, has not been realized because of the dispute which the parties are actually interested in building a hydropower plant.

In Merangin, he said, so far there is still the main technique that PT Bukaka still want to continue the project plan as a project independent power producer (IPP). It happened after the Group or CT Corporation sent his resignation letter from the project last week.

"In five or six days ago they sent a letter to the PLN. A very impressive from a letter that they are willing to retreat from the CT Merangin project soon to be built by PLN. I think the CT decision-oriented solutions," he said yesterday.

Because of the importance of hydropower for electricity Merangin Sumatra, he said that the company actually has submitted the project to be included in the blue book of Bappenas. "At that time both Bukaka and CT are equally determined to continue the project."

As known, CT Corp. entered into the project after getting permission from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. On the other hand, Bukaka has obtained a location permit from local government, even by the President Director of Engineering Bukaka President Achmad Kalla, the company had already spent tens of billions in Merangin.

Several alternative solutions that had been thought, said Dahlan, the first with a new way of inviting investors to become partners of the Bukaka, both Bukaka cooperation with PLN.

"Or if in my thinking, let family and PT Bajra Power Kalla Main Swarna take Merangin, PLN Merangin off, and vice versa Bajra Asahan III and handed it off to the PLN. That's what I thought could be a solution to the two generators can walk."

Bajra Resources Main Swarna ever come into shavings III project after getting permission from the North Sumatra governor Rudolf Pardede in 2006 before deciding to head the project was handed over to PLN. Bajra get permission after the Bukaka Group, resigned from the project and focus work on hydroelectric projects in Poso through PT Poso Energy.

JAKARTA: PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) akan melepas proyek PLTA Kerinci 2 x 90 MW atau disebut juga dengan PLTA Merangin dengan catatan proyek Asahan III diserahkan kepada BUMN listrik tersebut.
Direktur Utama PLN Dahlan Iskan mengatakan hal itu merupakan salah satu dari opsi yang disiapkan perusahaan agar dua proyek PLTA skala besar di Sumatra itu bisa segera berjalan.

Menurut dia, kedua proyek tersebut mengalami nasib hampir sama, belum terealisasi karena perselisihan para pihak yang justru berminat membangun PLTA tersebut.

Di Merangin, katanya, sejauh ini masih terdapat PT Bukaka Teknik Utama yang tetap ingin melanjutkan rencana proyek tersebut sebagai proyek independent power producer (IPP). Hal itu terjadi setelah Para Group atau CT Corporation mengirimkan surat pengunduran dirinya dari proyek tersebut pekan lalu.

"Pada 5 atau 6 hari lalu mereka kirim surat ke PLN. Yang sangat berkesan dari surat mereka adalah bahwa CT rela mundur dari proyek Merangin agar bisa segera dibangun oleh PLN. Keputusan CT saya rasa berorientasi solusi," katanya kemarin.

Karena pentingnya PLTA Merangin bagi kelistrikan Sumatra, tuturnya, PLN sebenarnya telah mengajukan proyek tersebut untuk masuk dalam blue book Bappenas. "Pada saat itu baik Bukaka maupun CT sama-sama bersikeras melanjutkan proyek."

Seperti diketahui, CT Corp masuk ke proyek tersebut setelah mendapatkan izin dari Kementerian ESDM. Di sisi lain, Bukaka telah mendapatkan izin lokasi dari pemerintah setempat, bahkan menurut Presiden Direktur Bukaka Teknik Utama Achmad Kalla, perusahaan itu sudah menghabiskan puluhan miliar di Merangin.

Beberapa alternatif solusi yang telah dipikirkan, kata Dahlan, pertama dengan cara mengundang investor baru untuk dijadikan mitra bagi Bukaka, kedua Bukaka bekerja sama dengan PLN.

"Atau kalau dalam pemikiran saya, biarlah keluarga Kalla dan PT Bajra Daya Swarna Utama mengambil Merangin, PLN melepas Merangin, dan sebaliknya Bajra melepas Asahan III dan menyerahkannya ke PLN. Itu yang saya pikir bisa menjadi solusi agar kedua pembangkit bisa jalan."

Bajra Daya Swarna Utama pernah masuk ke proyek Asahan III setelah mendapatkan izin dari Gubernur Sumut Rudolf Pardede pada 2006 sebelum memutuskan pusat menyerahkan proyek itu ke PLN. Bajra mendapatkan izin setelah Bukaka Group mengundurkan diri dari proyek tersebut dan fokus mengerjakan proyek PLTA Poso melalui PT Poso Energy.
