Pangkalpinang - Value of imports province Bangka Belitung (Babel) in June 2010 reached 9.1 million dollars, or up 243.1 percent compared to May 2010 which amounted to 2.7 million U.S. dollars.

He said the views of the contribution to total non-oil imports from January to June 2010, boilers and machinery categories (HS 84) gives the biggest contribution that is equal to 21.3 million U.S. dollars (51.5 percent).

Followed by sea transport equipment (HS 89) amounted to 8.6 million U.S. dollars (20.8 percent), machinery / electrical equipment (HS 85) amounted to 3.7 million U.S. dollars (8.9 percent), optical devices (HS 1990) amounted to 1.9 million U.S. dollars (4.6 percent), goods of iron and steel (HS 73) for 1.5 million dollars (3.7 percent) and sugar and confectionery (HS 17) equal to 1.3 million dollars (3.1 percent).

"The contribution of the sixth group of non-oil goods reached 92.6 percent of total non-oil imports," he said.

He explains, Bangka Belitung imports from China during the period January to June 2010 to the largest number that is 26.6 million dollars, or 58.6 percent of total imports.

Thai followed for 8.9 million dollar (19.6 percent), amounted to 5.9 million Singapore dollar (13.0 percent), Vietnam for 1.4 million dollar (3.1 percent) and Malaysia was 0, 9 million U.S. dollars (1.9 percent).

"The contribution of the five countries reached 96.2 per cent of total imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province," said Yomin Tofri.
