 JAKARTA - State electricity company PT (Persero) expect the government to provide compensation related to the application of limitation (capping) increase and decrease in the maximum electricity bill by 18% from the previous account.

JAKARTA: Samchully Co., through its coal business unit Samtan Co. acquired 34% shares of Natural Gas to Liquid project Plaju, South Sumatra, replacing the original position of E1 Corp. in cooperation with PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy in a project worth U.S. $ 192 million.

Director of Development and Commerce Pertagas Hardjana said Samtan decided to take full ownership of E1 on the project, amounting to 34%. Acquisition process, he said, has been completed after due diligence process is completed a month ago.

Jambi - State-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina for Jambi is expected to increase the stocks of its fuel oils in the face of the Islamic fasting of Ramadhan and the post-fasting festivity this year, a legislator said.


"The need for fuel oils such as premium gasoline and diesel oil will increase during the the Ramadhan fasting month and the Idul Fitri festivity. Therefore, we ask Pertamina to increase its stocks," Junedi Singarimbun, a member of the Regional Legislative Assembly (DPRD) said.

Shanghai - World Trade Organization (WTO) estimates that global trade to grow 10 percent this year, WTO chief Pascal Lamy said in Shanghai Friday, in relation to the trade body that issued its annual report.

"Our estimates for this year's world trade increased 10 percent in volume after minus 12 (percent) we noted in 2009," said Lamy told reporters.
